The Sacramento Police Department is alerting area residents of two recent robberies in Natomas.

On Saturday, Dec. 17 at about 7:25 p.m., a male victim left his vehicle and approached the door of a residence in the 5100 block of Fredericksburg Way.
The victim turned around when he heard footsteps and was confronted by the two suspects. One suspect was armed with a gun and demanded his money. The victim threw his wallet on the ground. The suspects grabbed it and ran away.
The suspects are described as a black man 18-19 years old, 5’10” tall, weighing 150 pounds, skinny, wearing a hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans and a black man 18-19 years old, 6′-6’2″, 150 pounds, skinny with a dark complexion and armed with a gun.
The suspects fled the scene in a Nissan Maxima or an Infiniti sedan with tinted windows.
Police are also investigating a robbery and shooting death of a 53-year-old man that occurred the same night.
Detectives believe the suspects were hiding inside victims’ vehicle just before midnight when they returned to their car at Torland Street and San Juan Road.
The victims were abducted at gunpoint, an altercation ensued inside the vehicle while they traveled east on Interstate 80, and one of the victims shot. The man later died as a result of his injuries.
The carjacking suspects are described only as a black man and black woman.
While both robberies occurred on the same night, it is unknown whether they are connected. In both cases, victims were contacted by two suspects in residential areas of Natomas.
