The Inderkum Tigers routed the Pioneer Patriots 47-20 in front of a packed house celebrating Homecoming 2011.
The Tigers got off to a fast start, outscoring the Patriots 21 to 7 in the first quarter. They went on to score two more touchdowns in the second quarter, bringing the score to 34-7 at halftime.
Inderkum students provided entertainment during halftime with performances from the band, cheerleaders, and performing arts. Homecoming royalty was also honored.
Pioneer was able to get on the board again in the third, but the game was already out of reach as Inderkum scored two more touchdowns in the fourth quarter. Final score: 47-20, Inderkum over Pioneer.
Meanwhile, the Natomas Nighthawks’ struggles continued as they were shut out 41-0 by the Yuba City Honkers. The Nighthawks have yet to score a win this season.
