A group of Jefferson Elementary School parents joined forces Friday for a four-hour campus cleanup event.

“The school looks tons better – this really made a difference,” said PTA president Wendy Brown after bags of litter had been collected. “The crew that helped wanted to make it a regular thing.”
Starbucks donated hot coffee and Bel Air donated a $50 cash card used to buy donuts and other supplies for cleanup participants. Both businesses are located in the Discovery Plaza Shopping Center on West El Camino Avenue and Truxel Road.
