HISTORY OF NATOMAS CHARTER SCHOOL FILMMAKERS

Three films by Natomas Charter middle school students will be celebrated next month as winners at the 45th annual California Student Media Festival.

DREAM IN TIME FILMMAKERS: N. LOO, M. ALVAREZ, T. WILLIAMS

The project “A Dream in Time” was selected winner in the category English Language Arts, “The History of Natomas Charter” was selected winner in the category School Information, and finally, “Mitosis for Beginners” was selected in the category Special Education Programs. All three elementary division winners are available to view here.

The filmmakers and their movies will be recognized during the statewide student film festival set for June 4 at the Orange County High School for the Arts in Santa Ana. Thousands of students submitted hundreds of entries to this year’s fierce competition.

Two Natomas Charter middle school student films were also recognized earlier this month during the regional 2011 Student Educational Video Awards. “The Drumming Movie” won an award and “A Dream In Time” an honorable mention.
