Sac PD reports a shooting on the 900 block of Carmel Avenue. Police pursued a possible suspect vehicle and the chase ended with a collision seen here at the intersection of Del Paso Road and Truxel Road after 5 p.m. today. The shooting victim reportedly died at the hospital and the shooting is now being investigated as a homicide.
Update from Capt. James Maccoun: “The suspect vehicle crashed into an uninvolved citizen at Del Paso Road and Truxel. All of the (three, armed) suspects were apprehended and the citizen received only minor injuries.”

I was just coming home from work and there are still police out there – it looked like there was multiple cars involved? I saw 4 on tow trucks! And it looked like there were a few more around and other tow trucks coming – did this become a bigger car pile-up?
