1,000 Natomas Kids Participate In School Walk Events

WESTLAKE STUDENTS
Over 1,000 children from North Natomas school participated in International Walk To School month during October.

Five North Natomas elementary schools participated in walk-to-school events coordinated by the North Natomas Transportation Management Association.

HERON SCHOOL
Here’s a look at the numbers of participants at the different school sites, according to the NNTMA:
  • H. Allen Hight – 161 or 19% of student body
  • Regency Park  – 282 or 33% of student body
  • Natomas Park – 286 or 27% of student body
  • Heron School – 400 or 41% of student body
  • Westlake Charter – 215 or 60% of student body
NATOMAS PARK E.S. STUDENTS
In all, 1,344 students participated in school walk events.

  1. Witter Ranch Elementary is a North Natomas school in the same district, but I don’t see that school listed. Therefore, I believe it is incorrect to state “all five North Natomas schools participated.”

  2. Darn – the writer must have been mistaken here. The North Natomas TMA hopes that in the future, Witter Ranch Elementary participates.
