Sac PD’s north-area command is now headed by Capt. Jim Maccoun. Maccoun replaces Capt. Daniel Hahn who transferred to the police personnel department earlier this month.
“I am very excited to be working with the Natomas and North Sacramento communities and will endeavor to maintain the good communication that Capt. Hahn has built upon,” wrote Maccoun in his first crime e-blast to Natomas-area residents.
Maccoun is a 28-year Sac PD veteran. The north-area police beat includes North Natomas, South Natomas and the Northgate/Gardenland and several other North Sacramento neighborhoods.
