Children took advantage of the early opening of a brand-new playground in Jefferson Park this weekend to beat the heat. The playground was built to replace Fort Natomas which was destroyed by fire – for the second time – two years ago. The park is adjacent to 1990 Roma Court, behind Jefferson Elementary School in South Natomas.
