Natomas Educators To Mourn Budget Cuts

Natomas Unified School District educators, classified school employees, parents, students and community members will hold a mock funeral 7 a.m. Thursday at Inderkum High School.
The event is part of a statewide “Stand Up For Schools” protest by the California Teachers Association, other education organizations, higher education and labor unions to show the pain budget cuts cause.

“The March 4 day of action by teachers and other public workers is helping to heighten the awareness of the havoc $17 billion in cuts over two years is wreaking on students and schools,” said Cynthia Connell, Natomas Teachers Association president.
