Garden Highway closed this morning from Gateway Oaks Drive to Orchard Lane for levee work by the Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency.
The closure will continue over the weekend and possibly into Monday.
After weekend closure, one lane will be open with two-way traffic flagged by crew through late December.
