Bond Oversight Committee Members Sought

The Natomas Unified School District seeks at least seven community members to serve on its Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee starting April 2010.

The school district established the Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee shortly after Measure “M” was approved by voters. The purpose of the committee is to assure taxpayers and the community that Measures “M” and “D” funds are being spent appropriately.

The oversight committee meets three to four times during the year as determined by the group. The current committee invites prospective members to attend anticipated meetings in October 2009 and January 2010.

Attending these meetings will give prospective new members a chance to learn how the committee operates, ask questions of current members, and provide for a smooth transition.
