Natomas Schools Budget Cuts Topic Of Talk

With the worsening budget situation prompting the Natomas Unified School District Board of Trustees last week to consider issuing layoff notices this summer, the board is scheduled to meet weekly throughout the month of June to address the growing deficit.

District employees and area residents are invited to a public presentation on the budget Tuesday, May 26, at 5:30 p.m. in the Education Center, 1901 Arena Boulevard.

Cannot be there due to other commitments. Maybe someone could ask the Board WHY we are spending millions to convert Bannon Creek to a K-8th when we already have enough capacity for Jr. High at Hight and Leroy Green (plus charters)???? At least ask, why NOW?
