Reported Kidnap Attempt In Creekside Area

The Natomas Unified School District has issued a Connect Ed message about a possible attempted kidnapping incident which reportedly occurred this morning in the Creekside area of Natomas.

The incident happened around 8:20 a.m. when a 12-year-old girl was walking to the bus stop at Ottumwa Drive and Kokomo. She saw a Black Cadillac with tinted windows driving east bound on Ottumwa from E. Commerce. The car was driving slowly and she became suspicious of it.

When the the car was near her, she heard a car door slam and then heard footsteps behind her. She looked back slightly and saw a shadow of a person coming up behind her and she ran to a relative’s house nearby. The car left the area.

SacPD Capt. Daniel Hahn reports, “This is definitely suspicious activity and we don’t know exactly what was happening – but the young lady was extremely scared and it, at the least, is very suspicious.”

The car in question was described as a early 2000 Cadillac Sedan with tinted windows. If someone sees this car in the area, call SacPD immediately at (916) 566-6401.
