Divine Mercy Catholic Church has received the go ahead by Sac city officials to begin building its parish in Natomas.
To date, all work on the site located at Club Center and Banfield drives, has been sub-structure work: grading, electrical, water and sewer. Natomas residents should see the building taking shape in the next week or two.
Come January, the parish will be conducting a census looking for Catholics in the neighborhood. The plan is to update the church’s registry and let neighbors know the parish currently meets at Natomas Park Elementary School.
My God…. a standing church in Natomas. Who knew! Talk about a “divine” development. What a miracle.
