Want To Volunteer At The New Resource Center?

Interested in volunteering at the North Natomas Resource Center slated for the Safeway shopping center? Here’s how:

The process for volunteers has been broken down into the following 3 steps:

Step 1. Pick up your North Natomas Resource Center volunteer packet. We have put together a packet of useful information including the volunteer application and the City of Sacramento volunteer orientation handbook. Please pick up this packet at the South Natomas Community Center, location at 2901 Truxel Road, front desk counter. This reading material will help to prepare you for volunteer training.

Step 2. You must attend one of the three available volunteer orientation sessions. The sessions will run for approximately one hour and will provide you with the basic information needed for a long-term volunteer with the city. This will also be an opportunity for you to ask questions and meet other volunteers. You will only need to attend one session. Three have been scheduled for your convenience.

Wednesday, November 12, 6:00-7:30 PM

Wednesday, November 19, 6:00-7:30 PM

Thursday, November 20, 6:00-7:30 PM

All orientation sessions will be held at the City University Learning Center, located at 921 10th Street, 1st floor.

* Please inform Brit Irby as to which session you plan to attend. You may do so by email at [email protected] or by call 916-808-6526 or 916-808-6789.

Step 3. Complete the fingerprinting process. When you have completed the orientation session, you will receive instructions on the fingerprinting process, we will provide you with the needed forms. Please note: There is a one time fee of $32. Please bring your check/money order for $32 (cash payments can not be accepted). All checks/money orders should be made payable to the City of Sacramento. Completion of the fingerprinting screen will be required of any volunteer for the North Natomas Resource Center.

There will be additional training provided by representatives from the Sacramento Police Department to prepare volunteers to assist neighbors

with filing police reports at a later date.
