Seen In The Neighborhood

It’s that time of year again…

Every fall about this time, Natomas residents note long, floating spider webs clinging to tree limbs, street lights and their homes.

The webs are attributed to young spiders that launch themselves on their homemade parachutes after hatching to be blown to a new home.

  1. Nothing like getting a face-full of spiderwebs from every tree and lightpost you run by! But it is a cool adaption that these spiders have come up with. Perhaps I am part of their territory-spreading plan?
