Several children from grades K-8 met at THE CLUB at Natomas Park and walked to school together today in celebration of International Walk To School Month!
Several hundred more students walked from their homes to the Heron School campus. The walk marks the launch of the school’s Walking Wednesdays program which encourages children to walk to school at least once a week.
The North Natomas Transportation Management Association co-sponsored today’s walk with the Heron School PTSA. The Sacramento Police Department and Paladin Security also participated in the walk with parent volunteers and school-site administrators.
