The transition from Java City to Peet’s Coffee & Tea at the neighborhood Raley’s store started Wednesday and continued today.
Unlike the grocery chain’s other stores which have already made the switch, the Natomas store management decided to hire an entirely new workforce for the Peet’s counter. THE BUZZ is kind of bummed because this means the friendly folks who help you at the bakery will no longer be brewing your coffee.
The Peet’s grand opening is scheduled for Saturday morning. In the meantime, only drip and iced coffee are available for purchase at the coffee (and tea) counter.
