A flood control forum has been set for 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday June 11 at the South Natomas Community Center on Truxel.
Slated to be on the panel are the following folks/entities:
- Councilmember Ray Tretheway
- Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency (the agency in charge of the levee improvments)
- FEMA
- US Army Corp. of Engineers (the group that certifies levees and decides how stable/sound they are)
- Flood Insurance Folks (to answer the insurance questions)
If you have concerns and questions about the levee projects and/or flooding in Sacramento this will be an excellent opportunity to ask those questions and voice those concerns.
