Several media outlets report Kevin Johnson will announce his candidacy for Sacramento mayor this evening in Oak Park.
Former-NBA star KJ will run against current Mayor Heather Fargo in the June 3 primary election. This is Fargo’s third bid for the city’s top post.
The deadline to file candidacy papers is 5 p.m. Friday.
