Armed Robbery Spree In Regency Park

Be on the lookout and be aware, there have been a series of armed robberies reported in Regency Park* neighborhood:

3-01-08, 12:30 p.m., Armed Robbery
Bridgecross Drive
Victim was in his driveway when a man on a bike approached him and pulled a handgun. The suspect obtained the victim’s wallet and fled the area on a bicycle. Beat Officers responded and checked the neighborhood with no results.

3-02-08, 10:30 p.m., Attempt Robbery
Arnold Gamble Way
Victim was removing groceries from his car when a man, matching the same description as the crime above, on a bike approached him and pulled a handgun. The victim retreated to his house and the suspect left in an unknown direction.

3-02-08, 10:35 p.m., Attempt Robbery & Shooting
Vosspark Way
Beat Officers responded to Vosspark Way on a call of a shooting victim at that residence. Officers located a male adult victim who stated he was unloading his vehicle when a man on a bike approached him and pulled a handgun. The suspect demanded the victim’s money. The victim stated he had no money and started to walk into his garage. He heard a gunshot and was struck in the buttocks as the garage door went down. The suspect fled in an unknown direction. Beat Officers checked the area with negative results.

*The Beat officers will be supplemented with additional officers (uniform & plainclothes) and assigned to the neighborhood during the late watch hours.

3-02-08, 6:30 a.m., Business Burglary
3200 block of Northgate Blvd.
A man drove his car through the roll up door of the Smog Diagnostic Specialist and burglarized the business. The suspect pried open the register which was apparently empty. The suspect vehicle was a gold, 2005-2007, Chevy Malibu, four door. Video photos of the suspect is pending.

3-02-08, 12:30 p.m., Large Disturbance
In & Out Burger, 3501 Truxel Road

There was another large under 19 “Saturday School” party in the county at 721 W. Del Paso Rd tonight. After Sheriff Deputies scattered the crowd of over 500, about 100 of them went to the In-and-Out to loiter. The store closed voluntarily and Beat Officers (18 total) disbursed the
crowd without any major problems. This is the same county venue that has caused us problems in the past.
