From a press release issued today by the Sacramento Police Department:

On Friday, Feb. 29 at approximately 2:30 p.m., 17-year-old James Cooper was arrested by the Sacramento Police Department.

Cooper was wanted for Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Robbery, Car Jacking, and Attempted Robbery.

Cooper’s arrest came after a very lengthy and complex investigation that involved the Sacramento Police Department’s Parole Intervention Team, Special Investigations Division, along with agents from the California Department of Justice.

Through surveillance and other high-tech investigatory methods, Cooper was tracked down to a location near 24th Avenue and Fruitridge Road.

Officers responded to that location and took him into custody without incident.

Cooper’s case has been filed in Adult Court.
