SacPD Crime Report for Feb. 15 to Feb. 16

2-15-08 at 10 a.m., Home Burglary
2900 block North Platte Way
Officers responded to North Platte Way for a possible home burglary in progress. Beat Officers contact the homeowner, who stated that a subject rang the doorbell numerous times then went into the backyard and took off a screen to a window. The suspect was scared off and apprehended around the corner by a responding Beat Officer. The suspect was arrested for an attempt burglary. The suspect resides a few blocks away from this attempted burglary. Neighborhood Crime Detectives followed-up on this case and connected this suspect to four other burglaries in the neighborhood.

2-15-08 at 8:30 p.m., Armed Robbery
14 Blue Wind Court
Officers received a robbery call to 2550 W. El Camino-New York Pizza. The caller advised he had an order to deliver a pizza at 14 Blue Wind Ct. As he drove up to the house several subjects were waiting for him in the driveway. The suspects advised the driver they had the money inside the house. As they all walked up to the door way, the suspects put a gun to the victims back, taking his money and the pizza. The driver fled and called the police from New York Pizza. Officers went to 14 Blue Wind Ct and discovered it was vacant.

2-16-08 at 7:45 p.m., Armed Robbery
Four Points Sheraton, 4900 Duckhorn Drive
Two Male Black adults, armed with a handgun, another armed with what was described as an assault weapon, entered the lobby of the hotel and demanded money from the clerk working the front counter. One employee was able to call 911 during the robbery, and units responded while the robbery was still in progress. Beat Officers arrived within minutes, however, the suspects had already fled the location. No vehicle was seen.
