Peeps Needed for City’s Utilities Commission

The City recently established a Utilities Rate Advisory Commission to assist and advise the Department of Utilities regarding its rate proposals, hold a rate hearing, and advise the City Council regarding proposed rate changes.

This is a great opportunity for Sacramento residents to play an active role in the rate setting process!

The Commission will be made up of seven members. Five members will have leadership and expertise in areas such as water, sewer, drainage or solid waste operations, law, finance, and science. Two members will be at-large, and will not need to have leadership or expertise in those areas.

All members must represent at least one of the City’s customer classes (residential, multi-family, commercial or industrial) and must be City residents who receive a City Utility Bill.
