Seen In Natomas: HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!

Here’s a look at the newest art added to the “Authors of Our Own Destiny” book sculpture in front of the North Natomas Library. Library officials want to make sure Natomas folks know they are welcome to contribute their own art anytime.
“Hopefully, it will become a frequently changing canvas for the community to use,” said Amy Calhoun, Youth Services Librarian.

Comments

  1. Please tell me the green was not supposed to be part of the “art”.

  2. The green paint is what is left from the previous contribution to this ever-changing public canvass.

We didn’t see it ourselves, but got more e-mails the sculpture had been vandalized.

Seems folks are still having a hard time accepting it’s OK for anyone to paint on it!
