Natomas Cops Log – July 2, 2015

Incidents are from shifts starting July 1, 2015:

15-185745 (Robbery): 2900 block of Truxel Rd at 2131 hours. Officers responded to the call of a robbery. Two male victims attempting to purchase narcotics were in the area when they were approached by two suspects armed with a handgun. The suspects stole one victim’s property and fled while firing two shots towards the victim’s vehicle. No injuries were reported. Officers checked the area for the suspects, but were unable to locate them. The investigation remains active.


15-185604 (Welfare Check): 2800 block of River Plaza Dr at 1857 hours. Officers responded to the report of a welfare check of a subject who had not been seen for several days. Officers located a deceased male adult inside the residence with a self-inflicted gun-shot wound. The coroner was advised.


15-186031 (Stolen Vehicle): San Juan Rd / Truxel Rd at 0502 hours.

Officers were patrolling in the above area when they observed a possible stolen vehicle. Officers stopped the vehicle and safely detained the driver. After a brief investigation, it was determined the vehicle was stolen. The driver was ultimately arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle.

Incidents are from shifts starting June 30, 2015:

15-184179 (Vandalism): 2600 block of Truxel Rd at 1409 hours.
Officers responded to the residence regarding a report of vandalism. The suspect reportedly damaged victim’s property and was issued a citation as a result.


15-184272 (Assault): 2300 block of Northgate Blvd at 1531 hours.
Officers responded to the location regarding a report of an assault. The suspect reportedly confronted the victims with a knife and attempted to assault them. Officers arrived and arrested the man for assault with a deadly weapon. No injuries were indicated.

Incidents are from shifts starting June 28, 2015:

15-181963 (Theft): 4100 block of Northgate Blvd at 0915 hours.
Officers responded to the business regarding a report of a theft. The suspect had removed property from the location and fled on foot. Officers arrived, saturated the area, located the suspect, and he was taken into custody.

Incidents are from shifts starting June 27, 2015:

15-181311 (Vehicle Accident): Gateway Park Blvd / N Market Blvd at 1830 hours.
Officers responded to the location regarding a report of a vehicle accident. Three cars were found to be involved in the collision. Occupants of one vehicle were transported to area hospitals due to complaint of pain injuries. One driver was detained and arrested for suspicion of DUI.


15-181709 (Burglary): 1800 block of Cagney Way at 0028 hours.
Officers responded to the residence regarding a report of a burglary. The victim arrived at the location to find that the home had been burglarized with property taken. A report was generated.
