The new TownePlace Suites by Marriott Sacramento Airport Natomas opened for business and welcomed its first guests on Monday afternoon.

“We are so excited to be here and to finally be able to open because we’ve been working on this project for five years,” said Alicia Castillo Holley, one of the hotel owners. “We come from Silicon Valley and have a ton of enthusiasm for the area and see it as an up and coming area.”

The hotel is the newest of several hotels planned for the Natomas area.

TownePlace Suites by Marriott Sacramento Airport Natomas is owned by A3 Hospitality Natomas, LLC. The name A3 comes from the owners’ initial lunch meeting and reflects their sense of camaraderie and humor, choosing to name their business venture after the comedic film “The 3 Amigos.”

The four story, 119-suite room extended stay hotel officially opened for business on July 13. TownePlace Suites by Marriott Sacramento Airport Natomas is located at 4090 East Commerce Way, across the street from Centene and just south of the old arena site.

Natomas’ newest hotel is designed for longer stays and travelers who want to keep their daily routines and connect with the local area.

The property offers studio and one-bedroom suites with separate living/working and sleeping areas. Every suite includes a fully-equipped kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator, stove top, oven, dishwasher and microwave oven.

The hotel operates a shuttle to and from the Sacramento International Airport. Other on-site amenities include:

  • Outdoor fire pit and seating
  • Market (which sells locally produced honey and Blue Diamond almonds)
  • Pool
  • Two barbecue grills and grilling kits
  • One meeting room
  • Tech center
  • Business center
  • Workout room
  • Guest laundry
  • Something borrowed program for small appliances such as a blender, games and cookbooks.
  • Two common seating areas off the library and
  • Dining room

Typically, hotel guests are served hot breakfast but during the COVID-19 pandemic, the hotel is providing to-go bags. Masks are also required to be worn in all common areas.
