A slow-speed car chase in Natomas on Monday ended in arrest.

At 6:56 p.m. on Dec. 16, Sacramento Police officers conducted an enforcement stop of a vehicle at Del Paso and Truxel roads.

The vehicle stopped and then fled as officers approached. The suspect continued on a slow-speed pursuit northbound on Natomas Boulevard. He then turned left onto North Park Drive and continued westbound at speeds of 30 mph, failing to stop at several controlled intersections.

According to scanner traffic, the drive told police dispatch that he “feared for his life” and was “going home.”

The driver turned northbound on Kanakee Drive and finally stopped at Wading River Way. The driver eventually exited the vehicle and was taken into custody on charges of evading the police.

Through traffic was temporarily delayed on Kanakee Drive during the incident.
