Two Arrested for Natomas Shooting

Sacramento Police have arrested two suspects in connection with a fatal shooting last week at the intersection of Truxel and San Juan roads in Natomas.

Homicide detectives arrested 23-year-old Adrian Castillo and a 17-year-old male juvenile for this shooting in connection with the incident. Castillo has been booked at the Sacramento County Main Jail. The juvenile has been booked at Juvenile Hall.

At about 10:54 p.m. on Nov. 8 patrol officers responded to the intersection of Truxel Road and San Juan Road regarding a collision that had occurred.

Callers also advised police that shots had been fired at the scene.

When officers arrived at the intersection they found two vehicles that were involved in a collision.

In one vehicle, officers located an occupant with multiple gunshot wounds. That victim was declared deceased on scene.

Officers located another victim, at the intersection, who had sustained at least one gunshot wound. That victim was transported to a local hospital and is currently in critical, but stable condition.

The subsequent investigation led to the closure of a portion of Truxel Road, including the I-80 off ramp, overnight and into the afternoon the following day

Based on the investigation to date, detectives believe this shooting is an isolated incident.
