Natomas Girls Softball League began its Saturday, March 30 with a parade around the Gardenland/Northgate neighborhood near its home fields at Althea B. Smythe Elementary School.
The opening of play also marked a milestone. Natomas Girls Softball League has existed since 1968, making this the league’s 50th anniversary.
Softball players come from the north area of Sacramento including Natomas, North Sacramento, Del Paso Heights, Rio Linda, Robla, Downtown and North Highlands.
What a great time had by all! And, the weather cooperated – THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO CAME OUT TO SUPPORT OUR GIRLS!!!!!!!!
