New Farmers’ Market Spot Draws Crowd

Approximately 900 people shopped the Natomas farmers’ market at its new location, market officials said.

“We are pleased and optimistic,” market manager Dan Best said the of the June 2 debut of the market which has moved from the Inderkum High School parking lot to the Sacramento Gateway shopping center located of North Freeway in hopes of attracting more shoppers. The market in Elk Grove drew 1,500 shoppers, the market in Rancho Cordova reported more than 2,000 market goers.

Farmers told THE NATOMAS BUZZ Saturday they were excited about the new location and looking forward to a great season in Natomas. The market is open 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturdays.
