Sacramento County elections officials have confirmed six different candidates will vie for two seats on the Natomas Unified School District board of trustees at the polls this November.
Candidates include incumbents B. Teri Burns, currently board president, and Lisa Kaplan. Also on the ballot are: H.K. Allen, Patricia A. Adams, Ryan Herche and C.E. White.

The Natomas school district, like many in the region, has grappled with funding cuts and faces state receivership if it cannot balance its budget in the coming months. An estimated $18 million more – on top of cuts already made – must be pared to avoid a takeover.
