Radar and a camera. When I pass by them by radar detector goes off like crazy
I saw one being installed yesterday at the light by the new California Fitness, on Truxel. These devices are cameras used to detect traffic, to trigger the stop light. They generally are NOT high enough resolution to be used for traffic enforcement.
Ditto what’s in the previous two comments. Some times the camera gets knocked out of alignment and won’t trip the light (call the city and they’ll fix in within a day), but otherwise they work great. They also detect bikes – awesome!
