Now teenagers don't have to walk along Del Paso or through mud to get to school. Photo courtesy Angelique Ashby.
Our neighbors in Creekside are now connected to the Regional Park thanks to a new linear path that runs along Broadwater and connects to a path which leads straight to Inderkum High School.
Friends of the North Natomas Regional Park and Councilperson Ray Tretheway are teaming up to host the inaugural Spirit of Natomas.
This will be a fun family event to capitalize on the tremendous interest that the residents of Natomas have in the development of the North Natomas Regional Park.
Spirit of Natomas will be held 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 17 at the North Natomas Regional Park duck ponds located at the corner of North Park Drive and Natomas Boulevard.
Local restaurants are bringing free samples of their offerings for everyone to try, a favorite local band will be playing (the Natomas Tornados) and a jump house will be set up as well as other family friendly activities.

On Friday, April 4, THE BUZZ received the following e-mail message:
"Do you have any idea why they've fenced off the walkway along North Park Dr.? We were enjoying being able to walk or bike out to the high school and around to the lake and now they've got it all fenced off? Any idea what they're doing and for how long?"
THE BUZZ checked in with a member of the Natomas Park HOA's Parks & Schools Committee and learned the cyclone fencing is up so Phase II landscaping can be planted along the Regional Park path!
Crews were out early this morning working on the project.
