Walkin' This Way

Regency Park Elementary School kids came out in force recently when 51% -- 410 students -- celebrated their new Walking Wednesdays program.

Parents, staff and folks from Heritage Park Bike Club helped to "maneuver" the walking school buses, and all arrived on time.

Traffic around the school was minimized, air quality was improved, and kids had a healthy start to their day!

School administration and the North Natomas Transportation Management Association planned events for the remainder of the school year.

Regency Park Going To The Dogs - In A Good Way

Regency Park residents cheered last week as city officials opened Regency Community Park's two-acre dog park to the public.

The new dog park features a large dog area, and a separate, small dog area.

The dog park also has a one-of-a-kind dog drinking fountain, sturdy turf, plenty of seating for dog owners, and a decomposed granite area.

The new dog park is the fifth City-owned dog park.

In addition to Regency Community Park ’s new dog park, there now is a soccer field. Residents may also bike or walk on a new trail that connects the park’s newer features to the skate park, baseball fields, disc golf course, and fully-accessible playground.

Regency Community Park is located at 5500 Honor Parkway.

Creekside Invites Regency Park Neighbors

On Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 7:30 p.m. Creekside invites Regency Park neighbors and leadership to join us for the informational presentation from the City of Sacramento's planning department.

Representatives from the City's Long-Range Planning and GPAC representatives will make a presentation on the revised North Natomas Community Plan.

As the city gets closer to the General Plan adoption, meetings such as the one planned for Feb. 20 are an opportunity to review any changes to the existing community plan for North Natomas and understand how it will be incorporated into the General Plan.

The meeting will be held in the Homecoming Apartments, upstairs in the community room, on Kokomo Drive.
