For a Good Cause: Relay for Life of Natomas

relay4lifeThe American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of Natomas is set for Saturday, April 23 at Inderkum High School.

Relay For Life movement is the world’s largest fundraising event to end cancer. It unites those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and take action to finish the fight once and for all.

Thirteen teams of 27 participants have already raised $1,777.

Captain’s meeting for the relay will be held 7 p.m. Jan. 25, Feb. 15, March 7 and April 4 at On The Border in Natomas.

The relay will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. Sunday, April 24.

The event will begin with an opening ceremony at 10 a.m. followed by survivors and caregivers laps at 10:30 a.m.

The luminaria ceremony is scheduled for 9 a.m. and the 5K Glow Run for 10:30 p.m. The closing ceremony will be held 11:45 p.m.

Inderkum High School is located at 2500 New Market Drive.
