Natomas Cops Log – May 7, 2015

Incidents are from shifts starting May 6, 2015:

15-125504 (Burglary ): 3300 block of Fong Ranch Rd at 1404 hours.
Officers responded to the report of a juvenile breaking into lockers and stealing items. Multiple cell phones were stolen. Officers checked the area for the suspect, but were unable to locate him. The investigation remains active.


15-125978 (Gun Arrest): Saginaw Cir / Truxel Rd at 2033 hours.
Officers were patrolling in the area when they stopped a vehicle for an infraction violation. Upon contact with the driver, it was determined the driver was unlicensed. While conducting a tow inventory of the vehicle, officers located a loaded handgun. The driver was ultimately arrested for illegal possession of a handgun.

Incidents are from shifts starting May 5, 2015:

15-125064 (Vandalism): 4700 block of Natomas Blvd at 0356 hours.
Officers responded to the call of a ringing alarm. When they arrived on scene, they located a broken window. It is unknown at this time if anything was stolen from the business. The investigation is still active.


15-124725 (Shooting): 4500 block of Truxel Rd at 2047 hours.
Officers responded to the above location regarding a report of a shooting with non-life threating injuries. The victim had reportedly engaged in a drug-related confrontation with a known juvenile suspect in the parking lot. At the time, the suspect produced a firearm, shot the victim, and fled on foot along with two other unknown subjects. The suspect believed to be responsible for the shooting was later located and arrested for robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and other related charges.


15-124599 (Subject Stop): Haggin Ave / Northgate Blvd at 1852 hours.
Officers were on patrol in the area when they conducted a subject stop on a suspicious person. During a search, a handgun was located and the man was arrested as a result.

Incidents are from shifts starting May 4, 2015:

15-123646 (Robbery): 3700 block of Saintsbury Dr at 2125 hours.
Officers responded to the above location regarding a report of a robbery. The victims were sitting in the park when they were approached by two unknown suspects, men in their 20s. Following a brief conversation, the suspects displayed handguns, took the victim’s property, and fled in a vehicle. Follow-up is being conducted and a report was generated.


15-123505 (Domestic Violence): 2400 block of Seamist Dr at 1822 hours.
Officers responded to the residence regarding a report of domestic violence and arrested the suspect after he reportedly assaulted his girlfriend.


15-123603 (Domestic Violence): 3800 block of Duckhorn Dr at 2029 hours.
Officers responded to the residence regarding a report of domestic violence and arrested the suspect after he assaulted his girlfriend.
