Natomas Cops Log – May 25, 2015

Incidents are from shifts starting May 24, 2015:

15-144610 (Robbery): 1500 block of W El Camino Ave at 1119 hours.
A 13-yr-old victim posted his smart phone for sale on Facebook. He was contacted by an unknown subject who advised he would take a look at the phone. The victim told the person his address and the suspect arrived about 30 minutes later. The suspect asked to see the phone and the victim handed it over to him. At that point the victim’s mom pulled up in her car and the suspect drove away without paying for the phone.


15-145134 (Burglary ): 2900 block of Great Egret Way at 2051 hours.
Officers responded to a ringing burglary alarm to an area residence and noticed what appeared to be a window smash entry. A report was taken.


15-145501 (DUI): 1500 block of Waterwheel Dr at 0320 hours.
An officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle that he believed was just involved in a nearby hit and run. The vehicle was swerving in the roadway and the driver was found to be DUI. The passenger was found to be in violation of the terms and condition of his parole and also taken into custody. The car revealed to not be related to the nearby hit and run.

Incidents are from shifts starting May 23, 2015:

15-143792 (Theft): 3600 block of N Freeway Blvd at 1539 hours.
Two female suspects attempted a theft scheme at Target. One of the two women stole merchandise and immediately handed the items to the second female who returned them for a gift card. When confronted by store security, the two females became violent and fled. The suspects took off in a Ford Taurus which was quickly located near Silver Eagle and Paseo Nuevo. An immediate investigation ensued and the male driver was arrested for possession of marijuana-for-sales and possession of methamphetamines. Both of the original female suspects were booked for robbery and conspiracy.


15-144153 (Robbery): 3500 block of Del Paso Rd at 2156 hours.
Officers responded to a robbery to a business. A man armed with a handgun demanded money from the employees and fled. No injuries were reported and an investigation is underway.


15-144209 (DUI): 2200 block of Shorebird Dr at 2233 hours.
Officers responded to the above area regarding a report of a vehicle that struck a house. No structural damage was observed and no injuries were reported. The driver was arrested for suspicion of DUI.


15-144442 (Traffic Stop): Regency Park Cir / Alvoca Way at 0314 hours.
A patrol officers conducted a traffic stop for a moving violation and discovered the vehicle was being driven by a 16-year-old unlicensed driver. A search of the car revealed a loaded handgun and the driver was booked into juvenile hall on weapons charges.

15-140929 (Burglary ): 1600 block of Pebblewood Dr at 2225 hours.
Officer responded to a report of a burglary. During the incident the suspect (s) vandalized the inside of the home before fleeing the scene.
