Natomas Cops Log – April 28, 2015

Incidents are from shifts starting April 27, 2015:

15-115889 (Robbery): 3500 block of Truxel Rd at 1242 hours. Officers responded to a silent panic alarm to an area jewelry store. When they arrived they discovered a robbery had just occurred. Jewelry was taken and the three fled to an awaiting vehicle.

Incidents are from shifts starting April 24, 2015:

15-112651 (Suspicious Circumstance ): 3200 block of Truxel Rd at 0705 hours.

Officers responded to the above location regarding the report of an explosive device. Landscapers were working in the area near the business when they located an old hand grenade. EOD officers responded and determined the grenade was live. The device was removed from the area by the EOD team and detonated in a rural location. Officers were unable to locate any witnesses or surveillance.


15-113297 (Traffic Stop): Northgate Blvd / W El Camino Ave at 1741 hours.

Officers were patrolling in the area when they attempted to stop a vehicle for an infraction violation. The driver of the vehicle failed to yield, stopped the vehicle and fled on foot. Officers quickly established a perimeter and after a short time, the suspect was safely detained. The man was ultimately arrested for resisting arrest, evading, and outstanding warrants.
