The move wasn’t a big one, but it gained the long-time neighborhood favorite nearly 400 additional square feet, a larger outdoor patio as well as bar seating.

Beach Hut Deli is now located just across the walkway from its previous location at 3620 North Freeway Boulevard in Suite 315, next door to 007 Fish & Chips. The 1,770 foot-space had remained unoccupied since Armadillo Willy’s Flying Pig barbecue restaurant closed in January 2010.

The eatery’s new location offers patrons a more spacious dining room as well as more beer on tap – now 12 instead of six – and more TVs for entertainment – now five instead of two. The menu includes signature, gourmet sandwiches such as the Shark Bite and Beach Meat Ball and salads.

The first Beach Hut Deli was opened in 1981 by 19-year-old Troy Feist in Granite Bay. There are now 35 locations in California, Reno and Las Vegas.
