Rumors of a Bangkok Garden revival in Natomas have not been exaggerated, according to signage installed at a new location Monday night.

The popular Natomas eatery – which closed abruptly in June 2014 – is slated to reopen next month in the Arena Marketplace adjacent to Tapioca Express, Maestro Cafe and Mountain Mike’s Pizza.

News of Bangkok Garden’s sudden closure came as a surprise to regular customers.

And a brand-new Thai restaurant is already set to take over the space previously occupied by Bangkok Garden in the Market West Shopping Center located at Arena Boulevard and Duckhorn Drive. (That new eatery – Thai Princess – is a joint venture of area restauranteurs and owners of Bangkok City Thai in south Natomas, Chantara Thai Cuisine in El Dorado Hills, Sala Thai in Rancho Cordova, and Thai Siam in Jackson.)

But just down the road, in the Arena Marketplace, Bangkok Garden appears to have found a new home where Taste of Thai operated until late last year at 2069 Arena Boulevard in Suite 170. Arena Marketplace is located on the corner of Arena Boulevard and Truxel Road.

Attempts to reach restaurant representatives were not successful.

According to a listing on Yelp, Bangkok Garden is scheduled to open Oct. 31.

Thanks, D.B. for the tip!
