An independent floral shop has opened for business in Natomas.

Eden Florist opened for business on Monday, August 18, according to co-owner Maria De Leon.

The store is located at 4261 Truxel Road in Suite A6, in the space previously occupied by Sofiya’s Florist, next door to Pork Belly Grub Shack.

De Leon owns and operates Eden Florist with her daughter Kristina De Leon. The full-service floral shop sells fresh flowers, plants, silk arrangements and gifts.

The family is in the process of planning grand opening festivities for the store in the coming weeks, De Leon said.

It has been more than four years since Natomas has had a standalone floral shop. That’s when Discovery Florist shuttered on West El Camino in south Natomas; Sofiya’s had already closed by that time.

Eden Florist is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays. (916) 515-9517
