THE NATOMAS BUZZ | @natomasbuzz

Johnny Carino’s Italian Restaurant in Natomas has closed.

Workers at the Truxel Road restaurant were reportedly given 24 hours notice prior to the closure.

Yesterday, August 11 was the Natomas eatery’s last day of business.

Two other Northern California locations have also reportedly closed.

The Natomas restaurant employed approximately 60 to 100 workers and underwent a major redesign in recent years.

Johnny Carino’s has locations throughout the United States and in the Middle East.

  1. Darn, we use to love this place. The only reason we no longer went there (it use to be our go to food stop) is becasue I have a toddler with severe tree nut allergies.

  2. Surprised it lasted this long.

  3. Wanted to go there for a bday last night and was shocked that they had closed. I shouldn’t have been. The food was great but the service WAS NOT. The prices were absurdly high and the new truncated menu left us missing a lot of old favorites. They were more focused on selling alcohol instead of food. My main beef was them constantly being out of lasagne. What italian chain restaurant runs out of lasagne? I guess we’re left with Spaghetti Factory and Olive Garden (which is treading water as well).

  4. So is this another Abe Alizadeh the Tax Evadah piece of work? Like Sonic and Jack in the Box, etc.?
