Natomas Murder Suspect and Victim IDs Released

Law enforcement authorities today released the identities of a man shot to death Wednesday morning in Natomas and the man suspected of killing him.

Sean Kelly, 19, was arrested Thursday in connection with the deadly shooting on the 1300 block of Pebblewood Drive on April 23.

Kelly has been charged with felony murder and booked into the Sacramento County Jail where he is being held without bail.

The victim of the shooting was identified today by the Sacramento County Coroner as 39-year-old Sacramento resident Romainia Terry Tyson, known as “Ro” to friends and family members.

When officers arrived to the shooting scene at about 11:39 a.m. Wednesday, they found Tyson suffering from multiple gunshot injuries. The Sacramento Fire Department rushed Tyson to the hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.

Police said a motive for this deadly shooting is still being investigated.
