An early spring harvest promises a nice selection of fresh produce when the farmers’ market reopens this Saturday in Natomas.

“Harvest times look a bit early this year, so we should have a good number of first-day farmers bringing the bounty of their labors to offer to the local foodies living in the surrounding communities,” market coordinator Dan Best said today.

For the third year in a row, the Natomas market will be located in the Sacramento Gateway shopping center, at 3637 North Freeway Boulevard, in the parking lot near the recently opened Ashley Furniture store and Verizon.

The market is scheduled to be open 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturdays through October. Best pointed out an ATM is located nearby at the Bank of America branch for shoppers’ convenience.

“See you there this coming Saturday, May 3rd,” he said.
