Police Investigate Infant’s Death in South Natomas

Sacramento police are investigating the death of a 3-month-old girl in Natomas.

At about 2:38 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15, police were called to a residence regarding a report of an infant not breathing at a home on the 1100 block of Hawk Avenue.

Police officers and the Sacramento Fire Department responded to the scene where the child, identified by the Sacramento County Coroner as Mial Anthoniece was declared dead. The girl was 3 1/2 months old.

The circumstances leading to the child’s death were not immediately clear and detectives were called to assist with the investigation. CSI also responded to assist with documenting the scene.

A cause of death is pending the coroner’s investigation.
