Students from Heron School in Natomas participated in a National Walk to School Day on Friday, Oct. 11.

Heron students and their families were encouraged to leave the car at home and walk, bike or scooter to school.

“Walktober is truly underway and plans to continue to grow as the month of October continues,” said Beth Mahony, a Heron parent who leads the weekly walking school bus from Burberry Park to the campus at 5151 Banfield Drive. “Let’s catch you walking!”
