A motorcyclist who died Monday morning when his vehicle crashed into a school bus has been identified as 33-year-old Travis Percival, according to the Sacramento County coroner’s office.

Percival, of Sacramento, died after his motorcycle crashed into a Twin Rivers Unified School District bus en route to Grant High School. Percival was pronounced dead at the scene.

The collision occurred at the uncontrolled intersection of San Juan Road and Tumbleweed Way in Natomas, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Neither the bus driver, 49, nor the 12 students on the bus at the time of the crash were injured in the accident.

CHP spokesman Todd Van Lindt said investigators were looking at whether right-of-way or speed were factors in the accident.
