Dickey’s restaurant opened to rave reviews this week in Natomas.

The new, sit-down eatery is located in the Park Place shopping center at the corner of Del Paso Road and Natomas Boulevard and is the first barbecue restaurant in the area since Aramdillo Willy’s Flying Pig closed in January 2010.

Here’s what first tasters reported via social media:

“It was pretty good. I had mac and cheese and a brisket sandwich.” -Jody F.

“The children ate it all! My kind of place.” -Jeanine M.

“It’s Texas BBQ. I love the way you can order any meat by 1, 1/2, or 1/4 lb! BBQ sauces and ice cream is free every day! The spicy BBQ sauce is delicious and the fried okra was perfect!” -Kelli H.

“The kids and I enjoyed it a lot!” -Daniel K.

“Awesome! Ran out of ribs by the time I got there so I tried the pulled pork…super good! Daughter loved it too…and kids eat free on Sunday, so were going back this weekend.” -Nannette L.
