Matthew Raymond Hernandez (July 27, 2003 – Feb. 26, 2013) was a beautiful child and full of life. He had a big heart, was loving, thoughtful and considerate.

Matthew was a student at Jefferson Elementary School who loved super heroes (Spiderman was his favorite), LEGOs, Michael Jackson, art, telling stories and dancing. He wanted to be an actor.

Matthew is survived by his mom Jessica; dad Phillip; brothers Phillip & Felix, sister Azalea, grandparents Robyn Plante , Jim and Jan Finley, Dianne and Richard Luna, Phillip and Salina H

ernandez; great grandparents Adelaida Amezola, Francis Ardent and Mary Munoz. He was also survived by a host of uncles, aunts and other relatives and friends.

Matthew will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial fund has been set up to support Matthew’s family at matthewhernandez.org.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, March 9 at Victory Outreach Church, 6555 44th Street in Sacramento. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, 6700 21st Avenue in Sacramento. Matthew’s family has requested attendees wear white to honor his life.
